Spotlighting this month our “AWESOME” Volunteer: Erigena Sallaku

I came across Dr. BSH Foundation through Indeed.com as they were looking for volunteers to help with an in-person filmmaking workshop back in 2019. I think what drew me to them was their vision to create opportunities for students to learn about all facets of filmmaking by connecting them with current, inspirational professionals in the film industry. I wanted to serve and be part of that experience and ended up gaining so much more than I gave. I got to meet Elisia and her warmth and passion for the students’ education was compelling. This foundation works hard at reaching out to experienced filmmakers, actors, producers, directors, screenwriters, animators because they know that these industry professionals provide invaluable experience and knowledge to the students at a time when they need the greatest encouragement and guidance to make their dreams come true. For more information about Erigena’s story and what program she volunteers with, please visit our foundation’s Blog on our website.
