Astounding Talent Blows Judges Away in this year’s Lockdown Screenplay Contest!

From the East to the West, teens all across the country from ages 11 to 17 rallied to participate

in the Dr. BSH Foundation’s 2021 Lockdown Screenplay Contest; however, three of them

particularly stood out, winning this year’s wonderful prize: a Nextbook Computer Tablet!

From Millikan Middle School in California, Phoenix Campbell earned the first-place spot with her script entitled “The Man in the Attic.” In second place came Alyssa “Noel” Hunthas from Miami Palmetto High School in Florida with her screenplay entitled “Just Drink Your Space Juice.” And following Hunthas came Anirudh Kota from Orange County School of the Arts in California with her respective work, entitled “Perfect.”

In reflecting the sentiments of fellow judges Mr. M.Dale Walton III, Ms. Grace Quiroz, Ms. Laura

Feetterers, and Ms. Micheele Massie, board member Mr. Joshua James explained that the

scripts received in this year’s contest “reflected a very talented group of teenagers,” and that the top 3 winners should be proud of their outstanding work, for “they clearly have bright futures ahead of them.”
